A Spooktacular Halloween to Remember
Our October Half Term was full of laughter, creativity and plenty of spooky fun. Across our camps, children got stuck into an exciting mix of Halloween-themed crafts, games and sports that made the week one to remember. From crafting creepy creations to joining in friendly competition, every child had the chance to explore, play and make new friends in a safe, supportive and energetic environment.
As always, our fantastic team of qualified staff made sure each day was packed with engaging activities designed to keep children active, happy and inspired. Whether they were building haunted houses, designing spider webs or taking part in games like laser tag and archery, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
It was amazing to see so many smiles, bursts of creativity and moments of teamwork throughout the week. Here’s a look back at some of the highlights from our spooktacular Halloween half term.
Spooky Crafts and Creative Fun
Halloween was the perfect time to let imaginations run wild. Our campers loved getting creative with a variety of spooky crafts designed to suit all ages and interests. Younger children made spiderweb lollipop sticks, spooky finger puppets and cotton bud skeletons while older children tackled pumpkin faces, spooky bats and spider web obstacle course designs.
Partner activities encouraged teamwork and communication as children built Halloween bunting, spooky mobiles and Frankenstein’s heads. Big projects like life-size pumpkin men, haunted houses and graveyard nature collages allowed groups to collaborate and bring epic creations to life. Each activity gave children a chance to express their creativity, develop problem solving skills and proudly take home their spooky masterpieces.
It was wonderful to see the pride on their faces as they added finishing touches to ghostly bubble prints, spooky witch wands and Halloween lanterns. Craft time was more than just fun, it built confidence, fine motor skills and imagination all in a safe and engaging environment.
Active Adventures and Sports
Of course, it wouldn’t be a PH Camps without plenty of action. Our sports sessions gave children the chance to move, challenge themselves and try something new. From classics like basketball, rounders and tri-golf to energetic favourites like laser tag, archery, indoboarding and Rock-it-Ball, there was something to get everyone’s heart racing.
Children also enjoyed inclusive and team-focused games such as Tchoukball, New Age Kurling, goalball and boccia. They worked together to complete unique challenges like the spider web obstacle course and Halloween-themed team games, building teamwork, coordination and confidence along the way. Our staff ensured every activity was safe, structured and fun so every child could take part with excitement and pride.
Watching children take aim with nerf guns, try their hand at axe throwing or navigate a spooky obstacle course reminded us why our camps are so special. Every moment combined adventure, fun and the chance to make new friends.
A Week to Remember
The October Half Term was truly one for the books. Between spooky crafts, energetic sports and plenty of laughter, children left camp with new skills, happy memories and stories to tell. Our staff worked hard to create a safe, welcoming and exciting environment where every child felt included and valued.
We are proud to be Ofsted registered and to accept tax-free childcare giving parents peace of mind that their children are in the best hands. Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Halloween week. We can’t wait to see you all again for more fun at our next camp.
